The kindergarten to second grade students are excited about receiving their 2x2 list to color in as they read these great books.  In the library this week, they heard Rubia and the Three Osos.  This is a nice retelling of Goldilocks and the Three Bears--combining Spanish and English words. The revised ending has a good message about making up for your mistakes. 

Because some of the kids had never heard the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, I introduced each class with this simple version before reading Rubia and the Three Osos.


The students enjoyed learning Spanish words that they were unfamiliar with, so I told them about some great foreign language books in the Allen Library that they can check out like the one below.

We thought Rubio and the Three Osos was FABULOSO!
