Pictured below are some of the maker spaces that our Allen kids have experienced.
Each month we have a book mark maker space, and it is a favorite. Students use stamps, ink pads, paint, markers, and crayons to design their own book marks.
Our construction maker space is always full. In November, students used pumpkin shaped marshmallows and toothpicks to make structures. It was fun and messy!! Some of the younger kids just couldn't help but take a little nibble of the marshmallows. :)
I don't have to tell most of you that Legos are well liked. It is one of the first maker spaces to fill up at each library time.
Students have worked together by playing games...Roll a Pumpkin, Tic Tac Toe, and The Dreidel Game.
How to draw and origami are popular centers, too.
Do you kids ever help you set the table? They learned how to by practicing in a maker space.
Last but not least, students have had fun creating at our craft table.
